Koala Cuteness

Not yet rated(0)

Hello everyone! 🐨💕

I hope you’re all having a fabulous August and making the most of this glorious weather — although I think most of us are secretly praying for a little rain now! 😂🌧️

I’m actually looking forward to September, as we have two lovely workshops coming up on 4th & 11th September — the perfect excuse to embrace that back-to-school feeling, get creative and learn some gorgeous new techniques.

🐨 KOALA CUTENESS 🐨

First up, we’re going to be drawing this adorable little cuddle monster — a gorgeous koala!

We’ll be working in pastel pencils, creating soft, fluffy fur, beautiful expressive eyes and lots of lovely detail. And yes… it is going to be VERY cute! 🥰

Complete beginners are very welcome — I’ll take you through everything step by step, so you don’t need any previous experience. Equally, there’s plenty here for more experienced artists too, with lots of techniques to add to your toolbox.

What will you learn?

✨ How to build rich, soft base layers in the correct order, ready for all those gorgeous details

✨ How to use different colours to create depth, shine and interest — even in a predominantly grey animal

✨ How to create soft, short, fluffy fur and layer it realistically

✨ How to create a lovely 3D effect in the eyes, bringing your koala to life

✨ Composition — how to position your subject to create a beautiful finished piece

✨ How to create a soft, complementary background while keeping your koala as the star of the show
