Here’s beautiful Dixie, a doggie who I had the privilege of meeting on several occasions and is also one of my latest commissions. She’s been painted with soft pastels and pastel pencils. This gorgeous girlie was a real whizz at agility and I remember going round to her house and nearly sitting on a stash of rosettes and trophies she’d won in numerous competitions! Dixie adored her whole family and had a particular bond with her mum, Teresa. She would sit and watch her do her hair and make-up every morning and refused to go to bed until Teresa did. Her family and Teresa were her whole world and she was their baby. I think this pawtrait has caused some tears as Dixie has very sadly passed over the rainbow bridge recently, but I like to think this commemoration of her will help bring back all those adorable memories they have of her.
