I thought I’d share with you an example of how I turn a photograph into a pawtrait! I do try to give the drawing or painting a life of it’s own, so it’s not just like a photo but has plenty of character infused in it! In this particular example, I was sent a few photos of the gorgeous Elfa but it was this expression I fell in love with. However, the photo was taken indoors so the colours weren’t as accurate as they are when you take photos in natural daylight. Luckily I had more photos which helped me tune the colours more accurately! I do ask people to send me lots and lots of different photos and I work with you to pick the best expression, but also use all the others for checking for likeness. I have such fun bringing these gorgeous doggies to life 🙂
