Meet Max, a coloured pencil pawtrait. Ooh, I did fall in love with this handsome boy when I was drawing him 🙂 There’s just something about the way he’s gazing into the distance that I found captivating and it really tugged on my heartstrings, to the point where I was sad to say goodbye to him on my easel.
Max in real life was fiercely loyal, strong and hugely protective. Yet conversely, he lived for cuddles, attention and fuss from his family. Sadly, this big, bold Labrador has passed over the rainbow bridge and a generous friend of the family commissioned me to draw him. She asked me to make sure I included his collar as it still hangs on the wall in the family home.
Max’s pawtrait was very much loved by his family and they wrote to thank me afterwards – I’m so very pleased. Max stole a little piece of my heart!!
