Lottie was a very special young lady to draw. Formally known as Laura from AKIRA animal sanctuary in Benissa, Spain, she had been found wandering around the campo and no one had been able to catch her. She probably had at least one litter of puppies in the wild and then when she was finally caught, she was heavily pregnant again but now with a broken leg and the bone exposed. They couldn’t operate until she had given birth 🙁 During this time, and when she bravely gave birth and nurtured her young, Billie Jo, the manager at the rescue centre, fell in love with her. Lottie sadly had to have her leg removed but she now lives a very happy doggie life. This drawing is for Billie Jo, who has now adopted her officially and is her forever mum.

Lottie was drawn using coloured pencils on Pastelmat paper and is A3 in size.
